July 17–Scottie Dog Christmas Ornament…sneak peek!

Tonight was craft night and my plan was to do my pin for today and then work on projects to save for when our family goes on vacation for a week. It was going to be a fun surprise week and I had grand plans for unveiling it. Unfortunately, my original pin for today was totally derailed by faulty materials…so it will have to wait for another day 🙂 And I have to use one of my other projects for today’s pin, which will totally ruin the fun of what I had planned for vacation week. On the bright side, I LOVE this finished product! So without further ado, here is a sneak peek of Christmas in July week!

In about a week and a half, I will officially roll out a week of projects created from my Christmas Pinterest board. The idea for this little scottie dog ornament was pinned from this Etsy store. Not to take away from her store because she makes some super cute stuff, but I knew I could recreate something similar for mere pennies. So I found my own template for the dog and used materials I had on hand. I think it turned out pretty great 🙂

So this little dog will make it’s way into Molly’s stocking for Christmas this year. Every year we get the kids an ornament that represents something that they did, loved or participated in that particular year. Since Molly became a Highland Middle School Scottie this year, her ornament will be this adorable puppy ornament! I hope she loves it as much as I loved making it for her 🙂
